Here are two Tube Amplifier Kits that are easy to build, sound great, and are just fun! The Tube Amplifiers utilize a 10GV8 triode-pentode tube; which provide 8 tube stereo performance with just 4 tubes or 4 tube mono performance with just 2 tubes. The amplifiers have built in volume control so that they can be driven directly from a CD player, tuner, etc. Both amplifiers operate from 120 Volts 60 hertz and may be plugged into a convenient outlet.
Each kit comes complete with resistors, capacitors, tubes, connectors, circuit board, transformers, and all necessary hardware to mount on the provided "bread board".
A finished case is available for the 12G Stereo Amplifier.
Model 12G Stereo Integrated Tube Amplifier
The 12G Stereo Integrated Tube Amplifier is designed to operate from the audio output of CD players, tuners, etc., and uses RCA jacks for the inputs. The amplifier is designed to operate from 120 Volts 60 Hertz and may be plugged into a convenient outlet. The Stereo Integrated Tube Amplifier is designed to operate with matching 4 to 8 ohm speakers.
Specifications:
Input Impedance = 100k ohms
Output Impedance = 8 ohms
Output Power = Push Pull 8 Watts per Channel
The circuit is a Class A amplifier
Minimum Input for full output = .4 V
Frequency Response = 20 to 20,000 Hz
Total Harmonic Distortion at 1 Watt <1%
Model 11G Mono Integrated Tube Amplifier
The 11G Mono Integrated Tube Amplifier is basically 1/2 of the stereo amplifier, designed to operate from the audio output of CD players, tuners, etc. The amplifier is designed to operate from 120 Volts 60 Hertz and may be plugged into a convenient outlet. The Mono Integrated Tube Amplifier is designed to operate with a 4 to 8 ohm speaker.
Specifications:
Input Impedance = 100k ohms
Output Impedance = 8 ohms
Output Power = Push Pull 8 Watts
The circuit is a Class A amplifier
Minimum Input for full output = .4 V
Frequency Response = 20 to 20,000 Hz
Total Harmonic Distortion at 1 Watt <1%
Note: All tube sockets are Ceramic.
